Vietri's factory was founded in 1925 by Giovanni Vietri, who was the first to establish production of alimentary pasta in his area.

From those days today still remain the old factory premises, the ancient watermill and the precious heritage of experience in the Italian "White art".

At that time the productive process was manual and mainly based on the skills of "masters of pasta" with their knowledge of the best wheat and of the simple operations of blending raw materials.

Pasta was first hanged on long bamboo canes and dried in the open air, then stored in large rooms where the temperature was mild and constant.
It was then wrapped in large paper sheets and sold to the communities.

Since then three generations of the family have managed the factory, always retaining its history, knowledge and experience during the years, and combining it with modern and advanced technologies.

It is possible to affirm that today Pastificio Vietri SpA is one of the few Italian factories where the productive process extols the traditional handicraft rules: the new technologies are in fact adapted to the strict rules of a traditional pasta production.

Since its foundation Pastificio Vietri SpA has always been present in the domestic and foreign markets and recognised for its historical continuity, its reliability and for its specific industrial vocation for traditional pasta specialities.
